I Went to the Doctor's Yesterday

Yesterday, we went to see my Doctor, Dr Clementino.  She put me in the cold metal thing again, but I didn't mind, cause Daddy was cheering, and that was distracting to me, just like the lights on the ceiling often do.

Anyway, I got in the cold metal thing, and I weighed in at 9 lbs, 13 ounces, up 17 ounces from my weigh in two weeks ago.  I am growing at a perfect rate, according to the doctor.  I had also gained an inch and a half in length, and now I am over 20 inches long, coming in at 21".

The doctor broke out some chart with a lot of lines on it.  She said I was on the dark red line for both my height and weight, putting me in the 50th percentile for both.  I guess that means I'm average, but Mommy and Daddy say I'm anything but average!

My “Team”

Daddy says that all smart celebrities have a good ‘team’ around them. Most have lawyers, managers, publicists and the like, but so far I only have a couple doctors on my team.  Let’s meet them, shall we?

This is Dr Shipp.  Mommy and Daddy call him ‘Shipp it’, cause he did something with me called ‘shipp-ing it crucial, one time’.  The lights were really bright in his office, and his hands were much colder than the sweet warm bliss of the goo I was living in inside Mommy’s belly.  Still, he seems nice, Mommy and Daddy love him, and so I am happy to have him on my team.

This is Dr Clementino.  She is my pediatrician.  She is very nice, but I have to have a heart to heart with her about how cold the metal thing she weighs me in is.  Speaking of heart, Dr Clementino listens to mine every time I see her.  I guess I will know her for a long time, as she has kids much older than me that she doctors for.  Mommy liked her office much more than the place down the street.  I saw her yesterday, and she was so happy that I was 8 lbs 12 oz (the first time I weigh more than when I was born!) that she said I don’t have to go in the cold metal thing for two whole weeks.  I’m only two weeks old, so as you can imagine this is a big deal for me.

 

I will keep you abreast of my team members when I hire them.  Attorney candidates, Manager candidates, etc etc. need to go through Daddy for now.  I hope Daddy doesn’t become an evil ‘Dad-anager’ like that Joe Simpson.  His poor daughters.
