I'm Now Officially a Human

My Daddy says that I'm not official until I have one of these Social Security Cards.  He also says the name is a misnomer, because by the time I need to retire, the money will be all spent by other people who got old before I did.  I don't know much, but that doesn't sound very secure to me.

Daddy had to blur out the number cause he says someone might try to steal my identity.  I don't really feel like I have an identity yet, so I don't know what there is to steal, but I guess Daddy knows best.

I Went to the Doctor's Yesterday

Yesterday, we went to see my Doctor, Dr Clementino.  She put me in the cold metal thing again, but I didn't mind, cause Daddy was cheering, and that was distracting to me, just like the lights on the ceiling often do.

Anyway, I got in the cold metal thing, and I weighed in at 9 lbs, 13 ounces, up 17 ounces from my weigh in two weeks ago.  I am growing at a perfect rate, according to the doctor.  I had also gained an inch and a half in length, and now I am over 20 inches long, coming in at 21".

The doctor broke out some chart with a lot of lines on it.  She said I was on the dark red line for both my height and weight, putting me in the 50th percentile for both.  I guess that means I'm average, but Mommy and Daddy say I'm anything but average!

What does the OC mean?

Mommy took me on my first trip out of San Diego today. We went to Fashion Island in the OC. We went to go visit with some friends she went to college with. Mommy says I will have to go to college too someday but Daddy says we'll see.

I'll want to go to USC like Mommy did if I make friends as nice as the Welsh girls. That's me with Reilly (left), Dana (Mommy's college roommate) and Berklee (right). They got a Wii for Christmas. Mommy says someday we'll all play Guitar Hero together.

About the OC - I think it's a place where you have to take your dog shopping. We saw so many dogs at Fashion Island the humans were tripping over them.

'Probably Coincidence'

My Daddy has a book that says any smiling I do at this point is 'probably coincidence', or maybe gas.  My Daddy would like to point out that those books are full of malarkey, and that this smile is 100% authentic.

I love sleeping on Mommy or Daddy's chest.  it's my favorite place to be in the whole world.  See how happy I am?  My 'campaign' promise for 2009 is more smiles for all my fans here on CoraCaldwell.com.

My First Crush

Daddy days that when I get to be a teenager, I'll put posters of boys on my wall.  Since I can't see as far as any wall, Daddy put a picture of my friend Xander next to my favorite pillow, which is as close to a wall as I get.

I think Xander is dreamy, but I'm not sure I grasp what that means.  By the way, I can almost grasp my beloved binky - my favorite thing in the whole world.

Keepin It Real - at Jasmine Restaurant

The Leos took me out for my first Dim Sum meal today.  The Leos are the Chinese side of my family. They are the reason Mommy and Daddy greet me with the words "Jo-Sun" every morning.

I can't eat Dim Sum for a couple years, but that didn't stop the Leo's from making sure I was prepared with a pair of chopsticks, and a tea cup.  I like them....they're funny.

More Family

Yesterday my great Uncle Jon and my great Auntie Val came to visit.  I'm not sure yet what makes them great, but I will take Mommy's word for it for now.  They brought things called 'brownies', which made Mommy and Daddy very happy.  I'm not allowed to eat the brownies for a very long time.

Jon worked for the IRS for years, and here he is conducting an audit of me.  I think I passed, but I will nervously await the confirmation letter.  Maybe I should have made brownies for Uncle Jon.  But, I don't think Mommy would let me use the oven yet.

I Know People from NYC!

My Auntie Michelle and Uncle Kris came by to spend some time with me today.  When I first saw Michelle, it felt like it was raining, but we were inside, so that was a little odd.

Michelle and Kris are more of my very cool family.  They have a very cool doggie named Diego that I want to meet.  I have heard the legend of doggies, but I still haven't met one.

Kris and Michelle stayed a while, then Mommy, Daddy, and I went on a long drive by the beach.  It was cold, but I still think I'm going to like the beach.

One More Doctor

Today. some friends came over to see me.

This is Dr Pauly.  He seems different than my other Doctors, Dr. Shipp and Dr. Clementino, but he knows an awful lot about the pills mommy is taking for her surgery, so I guess he must be a Doctor.

Pauly and his girlfriend, Change100, came over and we apparently went out to lunch.  I was sacked out the whole time, as Mommy gave me my lunch right before we left.

Aunt Michelle is coming over tomorrow, as well as Uncle Jason.  Mommy has lots of family.  I like them all.....so far.  :)
